Employee Access

EDSB limits employee access to your personal information to only those bank administrators with a business reason for knowing such information. EDSB also educates all employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy. In addition, individual user names and passwords are used by approved bank personnel to access your personal information online, providing audit trails to further safeguard the privacy of your personal information.

Third-Party Disclosure Restrictions

EDSB follows strict privacy procedures in regard to protecting your personal information. In addition, the bank requires all third parties with a business need to access this information to adhere to similar and equally stringent privacy policies. Personal information may be supplied to a third party in order to process a customer transaction; if the customer requests it; or if the disclosure is required or allowed by law. We do not share or sell confidential information about you to any third parties for the sole purpose of profit to our bank or for the purpose of marketing solicitations.

Internet Banking Secure Sign-On

The Secure Sign-on is a software solution that improves security for all Internet Banking customers. Recognizing the need to continually improve internet security, EDSB is implementing this next level of security. Secure Sign-on helps protect you against third parties that try to trick you into revealing your personal information and passwords by creating fake websites that look much like legitimate sites. This activity, called Phishing, is addressed by giving you another security feature to insure you can identify fake websites. Secure Sign-on uses an image, image phrase, and challenge questions to authenticate the user to Internet Banking.

Children’s Online Privacy

EDSB does not knowingly solicit individually identifiable personal information from or about children online. Our website does contain information about the Cub Club account intended for children. We fully support protecting children’s identities and privacy online and recognize the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with the parents.
